Airstrikes kill 18 militants in Pakistan's tribal area

Pakistani fighter jets targeted hideouts of militants in Orakzai in northwest tribal areas on Sunday, leaving 18 militants dead, local media reported.

Orakzai is one of the seven tribal agencies, collectively called FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas), with hideout of Taliban militants and Al-Qaeda fighters.

Security forces have conducted several operations against militants but insurgents has not been cleared of the areas.
