Thailand's Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij on Friday urged the red-shirted protestors to march peacefully in Bangkok on Saturday.

The march should not affect the normal life of the general public, Korn was quoted by the National News Bureau of Thailand (ANT) as saying.

Bangkok Governor M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra also said that they can constitutionally march, but it is essential to prevent chaos during the march on 14 Bangkok streets, with the estimated length of over 80 kilometers.

In a related development, Public Health Minister Jurin Laksanawisit said the national emergency medical center is ready to deal with the march, Thai News Agency reported.

Some nine medical networks under the national emergency medical center across Bangkok are well prepared, together with 42 rescued boats, 152 ambulances, 2,166 beds, and 1,500 units of blood for the Saturday event, he said.

The anti-government United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) will start their march at 10 a.m. on Saturday from the main rally site at the Phan Fah Bridge in Bangkok.
