Nelson Serge Rand was shot in the leg when he covered clashes between troops and the "red-shirts" protesters in the Thai capital Bangkok on Friday. Local media said that he died of injury.
He was admitted to the Chulalongkorn Hospital on Friday and transferred to BNH Hospital on Saturday, the Matichon online quoted the Chulalongkorn hospital director Adisorn Patradul as saying.
"He is now safe, he can talk in a good sense," the director said.
