One human trafficker has been arrested by the Myanmar authorities for trafficking six people out of the country, the state newspaper New Light of Myanmar reported Wednesday.
Aye Kyu, one of the four traffickers wanted, was caught while sending six victims including four women in Kayin state on July 28 to an unidentified neighboring country.
The authorities continued to hunt for other three human traffickers in connection with the case.
Meanwhile, the authorities are also trying to arrest another two human traffickers who sold three women as prostitutes seven months ago, the paper said.
According to the authorities, Myanmar human traffickers lured young women with such false incentives that they will be given well-paid jobs in the foreign countries and after being trafficked, the victims are forcibly married to native men.
