An alleged mastermind of the 1997 Acteal killing was re-arrested, Mexican police said in a statement on Sunday.
Antonio Santiz was arrested on Saturday on charges of participation in violent robberies prior to the Acteal massacre in the southern state of Chiapas. Local justice officials said Santiz was believed to have provided weapons for the massacre.
