U.S. President George W. Bush has given a purse and a silver tray to his wife Laura as Christmas gifts, CNN reported on Wednesday.
Citing First Lady's spokeswoman Sally McDonough, CNN said in turn, Laura gave her husband a set of biking gear to "quench the president's thirst for vigorous bike rides, even during the frosty months."

Their twin daughters, Jenna and Barbara, received unspecified "household items for their apartments," she added.
Bush and his family, including his sister Doro Bush Koch and brother Marvin as well as Laura's mother, Jenna Welch, are spending their Christmas holiday at Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland.
The president is set to leave for Crawford, Texas, to spend a few days at his ranch through New Year's day and will kick off his visit to the Middle East on Jan. 8.
