The person who was killed by a Siberian tiger escaped from the San Francisco Zoo on Christmas Day is identified as Carlos Sousa , 17, of San Jose, California, according to U.S. media reports Thursday.

The other two injured, identities having not been released, are 19- and 23-year-old brothers. They are in stable condition, said the San Francisco General Hospital.

The area in the zoo has been secured for police to gather evidence and witness statements. Authorities have searched the zoo four times and are certain that there are no more victims.

The The 160kg female tiger, Tatiana, was reported to have gnawed the flesh off a keeper's arm in a public feeding demonstration last year.

The zoo is expected to reopen on Thursday, but the lion house, where the tiger was caged, will remain closed, director Manuel Mollinedo was quoted as saying.
