Cuban judiciary vows to fight drug-related crimes |

Senior Cuban judges and prosecutors told lawmakers in the national legislature on Wednesday that they would take measures to crack down on drug-related crimes and corruption.
Speaking to the Constitutional Affairs Commission of the National People's Power Assembly, Attorney General Juan Escalona said his office would strengthen procedures to crack drug-related crimes and corruption cases.
Parliament President Ruben Remigio said the judiciary system will apply new technologies in law enforcement and improve judges' professionalism.
The assembly also began work on Wednesday to evaluate the country's economic development in 2007 and set goals for 2008. Source: Xinhua
