The logo of the National Centre for Performing Arts was recently released at the Centre's opening performance.

The novel design of the logo is quite modern, and embodies a spirit of “embracing all, and aiming for perfection." The lines of the logo mimic the frontal fluoroscopy lines of the National Centre; are symmetrical from top to bottom; and demonstrate the unique architectural features of the National Centre. The simple typeface at the base illustrates the contemporary look of the National Centre; and the red logo color highlights elements of Chinese culture.

According to a briefing, entries into the design contest were accepted by invitation. The selected design was created by Alan Chan's team from Hong Kong.
