At least nine people were killed and three seriously injured in a traffic accident on a Bolivian Andean highway Thursday, according to news reaching here.
The deceased include two minors, and the three injured are currently in intensive care, the Bolivian police in La Paz reported.
A minibus and a dump truck crashed at 2 P.M. local time (1800 GMT) on the La Paz-Copacabana highway, some 25 km from La Paz, according to the police.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident, but it has already been determined that the dump truck, whose driver fled the scene, invaded the opposite lane and slammed head-on into the minibus. Source: Xinhua
