A strong earthquake struck in a remote rural area of Nevada Thursday, leaving at least one building collapsed, officials said.
The 6.3 magnitude earthquake occurred at around 6.20 a.m. local time 7.5 kilometers below the earth's surface and the epic center was about 30 kilometers northwest from Spruce, Nevada, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
Officials in the earthquake-stricken area said it is unclear what kind of building collapsed, but added that many people are reporting cracked walls and foundations. There have been no reports of serious injuries.
The temblor was reportedly felt across eastern Nevada, Utah and as far away as Southern California. Source: Xinhua
