Three more dead bodies were discovered at a border city in northern Mexico in a police operation to gather intelligence on drug-related crimes, officials said on Sunday.
The bodies were found on Saturday in a 75-cm deep grave in a back yard at Ciudad Juarez in the state of Chihuahua, bringing the number of bodies found in similar circumstances to 12 within 10 days, officials said.
The police discovered nine bodies buried separately in a back yard in Cuernavaca, the capital city of the central Morelos state on Feb. 22.
According to local reports, ongoing violence related to drug smuggling has killed 350 people in Mexico since the beginning of 2008.
