A landslide in Peru's central Amazonian Huanuco state left seven people dead and many others injured on Wednesday.
The landslide occurred in the Sachavaca village after heavy rainfalls hit the region, some 420 km northeast of the country's capital.
The rainfalls, caused by the La Nina weather phenomenon, also destroyed at least four houses.
Huanuco's civil defense authorities immediately sent aid to the disaster-hit region and transferred the victims.
