Brazil's Justice Minister Tarso Genro declared on Thursday that there was no camp of Colombian rebels the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia (FARC) on Brazilian territory.

"I can guarantee that here in Brazil we don't have any camp of the FARC. What could have is that (Colombian) civilians enter Brazilian territory to buy provisions," he said on a radio program.

During his visit in Brasilia, Ecuadorian President Rafeal Correa said probably there exist bases of the FARC in Brazil.

Tarso Genro also said if bases of the FARC discovered in Brazil, his government will act in accordance with laws to restrain the movement of the FARC.

"More or less one year ago, we've discovered the presence of the FARC and repelled it. After that, nothing has repeated," he added.

Tension between Colombia and its two neighbors has been escalating since Saturday when Colombian government forces entered Ecuadorian territory in a raid on FARC rebels.
