The United States reiterated Wednesday that it will continue trying to reach a diplomatic solution to Iran's nuclear issues.

"There's no one in the administration that is suggesting anything other than a diplomatic approach to Iran," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.

Perino denied the resignation by William J. Fallon, head of the U.S. Central Command, was the result of a disagreement with President George W. Bush on Iran.

The Bush administration claims that it has no plans to attack Iran while not ruling out any options.

The United States has accused Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons under the cover of a civilian nuclear program. However, Iran has said its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.
