Brazil inaugurated on Tuesday a football school destined to citizens from other countries.
The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Relations' headquarters served as stage to the ceremony to inaugurate the International Football School of Brasilia.
The first activity to be developed by the entity will be the improvement course for football coaches of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP), comprised of Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, East Timor and Sao Tome and Principe.
The course is the result of a partnership of the University of Brasilia (UnB), where the classes will be held, with the Brazilian ministries of sports and of foreign relations.
UnB's Faculty of Physical Education will host the classes, which will be offered to a total of 40 team coaches from CPLP countries. The course will have the participation of famous Brazilian coaches, such as Carlos Alberto Torres, former member of the Brazilian national team that won the 1970 World Cup, among other professionals.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Foreign Relations stressed that the courses offered by the school will be extended in the future to citizens from other countries that express interest in that sports cooperation experience.
