About 30 people were arrested Wednesday during a joint operation by U.S. and Canadian police in a border region centered in Quebec province.
About 300 police forces conducted the raids on the drug ring operating in Montreal and an aboriginal Mohawk reserve.
The charges involve conspiracy, drug trafficking and gangsterism.
The suspects were involved in a marijuana production and exporting operation. The pipeline seemed to be from the Mohawk territories here in Quebec across the U.S. border, according to a Canadian Television report.
Kahnawake is about a 75 minutes' drive from the U.S. border.
