U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Thursday she has no plans to meet Iran's foreign minister at the international conference on Iraq's security in Kuwait next week.
Iran must end its support for Shiite militants in Iraq, Rice told reporters in Washington, adding that she will repeat this message at the conference, to be attended mostly by Iraq's neighbors, including Iran.
The conference, to be held on April 22, is expected to promote Iraq's security. Rice has made 14 trips to the Middle East in the past 15 months.
The United States has repeatedly accused Iran of supporting militants in Iraq to fight against the U.S.-led coalition army. Iran has denied the charges. Source:Xinhua
