U.S. President George W. Bush will visit Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia from May 13-18, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Monday.
While visiting Israel, Bush will meet with President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and address the Knesset, Israel's parliament, Perino said.
Bush will then travel to Saudi Arabia to meet with Saudi King Abdullah. While in Egypt, Bush will meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Jordan's King Abdullah II, Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas, and deliver remarks at the World Economic Forum on the Middle East, Perino added.
Bush met with Abbas on April 24 to discuss the Middle East peace process, but failed to make any breakthrough.
The United States has tried its efforts to push forward the Middle East peace process by hosting an international conference on the Middle East peace in Annapolis, Maryland last year. However, the Middle East peace has made little progress since then.
