U.S. President George W. Bush is looking forward to working with new Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, U.S. National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said here Wednesday.
"I'm sure the president will speak to President Medvedev in the coming days to congratulate him," Johndroe said.
The president had a good meeting with him in Sochi and looks forward to working with him in the future, the spokesman noted.
Medvedev was sworn in on Wednesday in Moscow, succeeding Vladimir Putin two months after he won the country's presidential election.
