U.S. President George W. Bush will have separate meetings with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Iraqi leaders during his May 13-18 trip to the Middle East, U.S. national security advisor Stephen Hadley said Wednesday.

Bush, who is to kick off his visit to Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia next week, is due to meet Karzai on May 17 when he is in Egypt to attend the World Economic Forum on the Middle East at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.

In addition to his meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak, Bush will have talks with Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas.

On May 18, Bush will meet with Iraq's Vice President Adel Abdel Mahdi and Deputy Prime Minister Barham Ahmed Saleh. He is also to have separate talks with Jordan's King Abdullah II, Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora, Hadley said.
