U.S. President George W. Bush will attend the annual U.S.-European Union summit in Slovenia scheduled for June, the White House announced Tuesday.
During his June 9-16 European tour, Bush is also due to visit Germany, Italy, the Vatican, France and Britain, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.
Through the forthcoming visit, the Bush administration plans to strengthen the trans-Atlantic partnership and celebrate the enduring friendship with its European allies, according to a statement by the White House.
