U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will not meet with her counterparts from Iran and Syria at the international conference on Iraq in Stockholm this week, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said Tuesday.

"She'll have probably a series of other meetings on the side, but I don't expect either of those to be on her agenda," McCormack said.

The international conference on Iraq will be held in Stockholm on Thursday. Nearly 100 delegations from around the world will participate in the conference.

In addition to Rice, foreign ministers from Iran and Syria will also be present at the conference.

The United States has accused Iran and Syria of supporting the insurgents to fight against the U.S.-led coalition army in Iraq. Iran and Syria have denied the charges.
