Bolivian President Evo Morales said Sunday the nationwide revocative referendum on Aug. 10 will "knock down" the opposite neo-liberal governors that oppose to the country's reforms.
The revocative referendum is called by Morales in response to the votes for autonomy in four provinces of Santa Curz, Tarija, Pando and Beni this year.
In the revocative ballot, Bolivian people will vote on whether Morales, Vice President Ivaro Garcia Linera and eight regional governors will hold their posts.
"Some governors are not playing in favor of the country and Bolivian people, but for their own interests," Morales said. "They think they could be presidential candidates."
"I've never imagined that politics could be so dirty. There are groups of people that do not want to abandon their privileges and plan something against Evo day by day," he added. Source:Xinhua
