U.S. President George W. Bush will make a statement on the conflict between Russia and Georgia on Wednesday, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.

"The president wants to make a statement," Perino said.

Bush issued a statement on Monday and urged Russia to withdraw its troops out of Georgia.

In recent days, Russian and Georgian troops have been clashing with each other in Georgia's breakaway area of South Ossetia and the United States has voiced support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
