Most victims who have applied for reparation are those affected by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), the governmental Committee of the Armed Conflict Victim's Reparation in Colombia said Wednesday.
The Colombian government recently called on the affected people to fill an application form to request their reparation. Most of the 7,000 applications filled are victims of the FARC, said Patricia Perdomo, leader of the appointed committee of the Presidential Agency for the Social Action.
"The rest are victims of the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC) and the National Liberation Army (ELN)", Perdomo added.
Perdomo said this is the first time for the affected people to be put in governmental programs who expect to retrieve their lands and goods.
