Echoing the White House's harsh words for Russia, the Pentagon said Monday that Russia "continues to defy international calls" to pull its forces out of Georgia.
"It is fair to say they (the Russians) are still not living up to the terms of the cease-fire agreement," spokesman Bryan Whitman told reporters at the Pentagon.
He also said that U.S. military continues to deliver humanitarian aid to Georgia, with about 100 U.S. military and civilian personnel there coordinating the operation.
The Navy's USS McFaul docked in the Georgian port of Batumi over the weekend as more aid continued to arrive by U.S. military planes.
The United States has provided 18.3 million U.S. dollars of aid to Georgia, at the pace of 1 million dollars a day, Whitman said.
