Texas Congressman Ron Paul, who sought Republican presidential nomination earlier this year, led a rally of people unhappy with the two major political parties near the site of Republican National Convention on Tuesday.

The "Rally for the Republic" is set to last nine hours in Minneapolis, not far from St. Paul, Minn., where the Republicans are holding their national convention.

Paul, who didn't get a slot to address the convention, will make a speech at the rally at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Organizers say they have sold more than 10,000 tickets for the rally. Paul had said he is seeking a third path different from mainstream Republicans and Democrats.
