Visiting leader of the Palestinian Arab Front (PAF) Jamil Shehattah on Wednesday lauded the Egyptian efforts exerted to help end the current inter-Palestinian feud.
Earlier in the day, a PAF delegation led by Shehattah held talks with Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman, who is in charge of talks with Palestinian factions to resume an inter-Palestinian national dialogue, the Egyptian MENA news agency reported.
Following the talks, Shehattah hailed the ongoing Egyptian efforts to close ranks of the Palestinians and lift the siege imposed on the Palestinian people, said MENA.
Shehattah stressed that "dialogue and not the use of force" is the only way out for all problems among the Palestinians.
In late August, Egyptian mediators started bilateral talks with delegations of Palestinian factions to hammer out a unified stance among Palestinians to overcome the current inter-Palestinian crisis, particularly between Hamas and Fatah.
Egyptian officials are expected to hold talks with delegations of Hamas and Fatah in the coming weeks.
