Panamanian President Martin Torrijos Friday met with Bolivian President Evo Morales and expressed his support for Morales in the Bolivian political crisis.

At a press conference, Torrijos said that his government supported Bolivia and urged to respect the democratic institutionalism and the territorial integrity through dialogue."

Morales expressed his thanks for Torrijos and said "social justice will not be defrauded in Bolivia"

Morales added that he had the political compromise of "breaking the chains of the social inequality which historically has suffered Bolivia."

"We are going for deep transformations in democracy to seek social equality among Bolivian people," Morales said.

Morales and Torrijos will visit the Panama Canal to inspect the advances of the more than 5,25 billion U.S. dollar Canal extension project.
