U.S. President George W. Bush and visiting Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi vowed Monday to take action to rescue the global economy amid the world financial crisis.
"All of us will continue taking responsible, decisive action to restore credit and stability and return to vigorous growth," Bush said during a welcoming ceremony in the White House.
For his part, Berlusconi said European countries have taken action to prevent the financial crisis from damaging the global economy.
