U.S. Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden is in Los Angeles area Thursday to appear at television talk shows and speak at campaign fund-raisers in his first California trip since his nomination.
Biden is expected to tape an appearance on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" that airs Thursday night, opposite an appearance of Republican presidential candidate John McCain on CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman."
He will also tape an appearance on television host Ellen DeGeneres' syndicated daytime talk show for future broadcast.
Meanwhile, Biden is also scheduled to speak at two local fundraising events for the Democratic National Committee's Obama Victory Fund, according to an official of the Obama-Biden campaign.
Biden, who debated his Republican counterpart, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin two weeks ago, arrived in Los Angeles a day after the final debate between his running mate Barack Obama and McCain. Source:Xinhua
