U.S. President-elect Barack Obama said in Chicago on Friday that Iran's development of nuclear weapon is unacceptable.

Addressing his first press conference since Nov. 4 election, Obama also said that Iran must stop supporting "terrorist organizations."

Obama confirmed that he had received a congratulation letter from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad following his election victory.

"I am aware that the letter was sent," he said. "I will be reviewing the letter from President Ahmadinejad and we will respond appropriately."
