Canada confirms death of citizen in Mumbai attacks

Canada on Friday confirmed that one Canadian was killed in the Mumbai attacks.

Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon said there were 20 Canadian confirmed in Mumbai at the time of the attacks.

Aside from the one killed, two others are recovering from gunshot wounds and 17 are unharmed.

Cannon said Canadian authorities had no warning of a possible attack on "the level of this nature."

More than 140 have been killed and almost 400 others injured inthe two-day attacks and standoff targeting Westerners, according to Indian officials.
