A delegation of U.S. labor leaders Wednesday hailed the efforts of the Cuban government in guaranteeing the people's welfare amid the global financial crisis.
They praised Cuban authorities for their efforts in providing work opportunities for people to live a decent, stable and safe life, according to a statement of the Workers' Central Union of Cuba (CTC).
Members of the delegation, which is in Havana to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, also criticized the U.S. government for neglecting workers while protecting the banking sector.
They also criticized the U.S. government for paying inadequate attention to children's health and education, and condemned the U.S. economic embargo against Cuba.
