Visiting U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Friday that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) should do more to improve relationship with the United States.
The DPRK "is not going to get a different relationship with the United States while insulting and refusing dialogue with the Republic of Korea (South Korea)," Clinton said at a joint news conference with South Korean Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan following their talks here.
She also urged Pyongyang to carry out its commitment of denuclearization in an agreement reached in the six-party talks on the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula in 2006.
Clinton said the United States will cooperate with South Korea and other parties of the six-party talks to achieve denuclearization in the DPRK.
