Judicial authorities of Mexico and the United States had extradited two suspects accused of homicide to their respective countries, Mexico's prosecutor general said Sunday.

In a statement, the prosecutor general said Mexico extradited Ventura Gonzalez Sliguero, who was charged of murdering his wife on July 15, 2002, to the United States.

Officers from the Federal Investigations Agency delivered Sliguero to U.S. authorities at the airport of Matamoros in the state of Tamaulipas, which borders the United States.

In the meantime, the United States extradited Felipe Espinosa Espinosa, accused of murder and detained in California, to Mexican authorities.
