At least two people were killed and three others wounded in two separate shootings within minutes across the city of Chicago Friday afternoon.
Police said details on the shootings, which all occurred in a 15-minute span after 3 p.m. (2000 GMT), are still unknown.
Two 18-year-olds were wounded in what police described as a drive-by shooting about 3:15 p.m. (2215 GMT) outside a public library.
One of the victims, shot in the neck, was taken to hospital and pronounced dead about an hour later, according to hospital sources.
The other victim was shot in the face and was reported in serious condition, according to police.
