Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa Thursday appointed three new ministers, making the first cabinet changes after being re-elected on April 26.

Maria de los Angeles Duarte, former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, will replace Jeannette Sanchez as minister of economic and social inclusion, the president's press office said in a statement.

Sanchez will replace Nathalie Cely as the minister of social development coordination. Cely will be in charge of the Ministry of Production.

The three took up their new duties in a ceremony at Government House presided by President Correa.
