Zelaya's jet fails to land in Honduras

Honduras' ousted President Manuel Zelaya failed to return to the country Sunday because the Armed Forces blocked the runways with vehicles to prevent his jet from landing. His plane then landed in Managua, the capital city of neighboring Nicaragua, media reports said.

In Managua, Zelaya is due to hold a press conference later in the day.

Zelaya's supporters marched back home as they realized his plane couldn't land in Honduran territory. But they vowed to return to the airport Monday.

The clashes between Zelaya's supporters and the military outside the airport left a 12-year-old kid dead and several others wounded.
