Four soldiers died after a Brazilian army helicopter crashed during a training exercise, the military announced Thursday.
The accident happened Wednesday night near Corumba, a municipality of the western state of Mato Grosso do Sul and bordering Bolivia, the military force informed on Thursday.
The aircraft, a model Aeschylus belonging to the Third Aviation Battalion of the regional capital Campo Grande, occurred during operation "Cabure," a routine training exercise for pilots and crew, a statement from the military said.
A sergeant, two captains and an army corporal died in the crash.
The cause of the accident are being investigated by experts from the Military Police and the Brazilian Air Force.
