Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Yevgeny Shkolov deputy interior minister, the Kremlin press service reported on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, Putin signed a decree to this effect. Under the decree, Shkolov has been relieved of his duties as chief of the Interior Ministry economic security department and appointed deputy interior minister, the press service said.
