Nokia Siemens Networks will cut 239 jobs in Finland, the Finnish-German joint venture said in a statement on Tuesday.
The company had started the talks at the end of January with the goal of cutting up to 250 jobs in Finland as part of a plan to slash costs. It had finished a round of cooperation procedure talks with staff the day before.
The Nokia and Siemens 50-50 joint venture employs more than 60,000 globally and will have around 8,300 employees in Finland after the reduction. Source: Xinhua
