Swedish and Norwegian police have arrested terror suspects in the capitals of the two countries in a series of raids Thursday morning.
In Stockholm, the Swedish Police Security Service (SAPO) arrested three men suspected of planning terrorist operations and financing terrorism.
"The men were arrested at different addresses in Stockholm," SAPO spokesman Jakob Larsson told Swedish news agency TT. But he refused to release details of the suspects' ages or whether they had previous criminal records.
The Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) also arrested three people suspected of financing terrorism abroad at different addresses in Oslo, according to reports reaching here from the capital of Norway.
The three suspects have been formally charged and at least one of them was being kept in police custody, the PST said.
The PST would not immediately release any details about the three people, or what led to their arrests.
The arrests followed a lengthy investigation by Oslo police and the force's financial crimes unit, according to local media.
