Polish president Lech Kaczynski and his Czech counterpart Vaclav Klaus met here Tuesday afternoon and discussed details of the forthcoming NATO and EU summits.

The situation in Poland and the Czech Republic also came under discussion, Polish news agency PAP reported.

"Poland can be satisfied from Mr. Klaus' election to the post of president for another 5 year term," Kaczynski said after the meeting.

Klaus said his short visit in Poland paid shortly after his election was no coincidence but a symbolic gesture.
