Czech President Vaclav Klaus will visit Egypt in early April as the first Czech head of state, the Czech news agency CTK reported on Tuesday.
Apart from political talks, Klaus will attend an exhibition on the 50 years of Czech archaeological research in Cairo on April 7, according to information from the Presidential Office and Czech diplomacy.
The Cairo exhibition has been accompanied by the publishing of the book "Unearthing Ancient Egypt, Fifty Years of the Czech Archaeological Exploration in Egypt," representatives of Prague's Charles University told CTK.
Klaus officially visited Egypt already in 1995 when he was prime minister.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak paid a visit to the Czech Republic in 1994. Mubarak has been the first Egyptian president to officially visit Prague.
