The current president of Estonia's parliament, Ene Ergma, was reelected as head of the legislative body Thursday, according to reports from the Estonian capital Tallinn.

The Estonian parliament, or Riigikogu, voted 83 to 2 with 8 abstentions to reelect Ergma, a member of the Union of the Pro Patria and Res Republic parties, as the speaker.

Ergma, 64, who assumed the post from 2003 to 2006, became vice president of parliament in March 2006 and was elected parliament president on April 2, 2007.

Kristiina Ojuland, a member of the Reform Party, and Juri Ratas, a member of the Estonian Centre Party, were also elected as vice presidents of the Riigikogu.
