The members of Moldova's new cabinet on Monday were sworn in office at the presidency, in the presence of President Vladimir Voronin and Parliament Speaker Marian Lupu.
Moldova's parliament on Monday afternoon voted in favor of the new cabinet led by Prime Minister Zinaida Grecianii and the president signed soon a decree on the appointment of the government.
At the end of the swearing-in ceremony, Voronin voiced hope that the new cabinet will justify the undertaken responsibilities, and will actively contribute to Moldova's development and flourishing.
He urged the members of the new government to bring its contribution to consolidating the achievements got in the country's social and economic development and its advancement on the road of modernization and progress.
The president emphasized the importance of the goals the new government is to achieve, displaying optimism about the efficiency of the cabinet's activity.
The new government is composed of 21 members, most of them are of the cabinet led by Vasile Tarlev, who resigned on March 19, after seven years in power.
