Poland will seek support for Ukraine's and Georgia's NATO membership during the Bucharest NATO summit, Poland's Defense Minister Bogdan Klich said on Wednesday.
Poland will try to convince the opponents that Ukraine's and Georgia's inclusion in the Membership Action Plan (MAP) is a good solution, Polish news agency PAP quoted Klich as saying.
During the summit Poland will also present the decisions "taken by Poland's government and president with the view to strengthening our contingent in Afghanistan and taking over responsibility for a province," the minister declared.
The increase in the number of Polish troops in Afghanistan shows that Poland "treats seriously NATO ally solidarity," Klich said.
Poland will also strive for NATO institutions to be located on its territory as an additional security guarantee, according to the minister.
