The United States is helping Albania with its probe into the March 15 fatal army depot blast, the U.S. embassy in Tirana said on Monday.
Six U.S. federal agents arrived in Albania on Sunday at the request of Albania's Prosecutor General Ina Lama to help with the investigation, the embassy said in a statement.
The United States is also providing assistance in a number of other ways, including humanitarian aid from USAID and military experts from the U.S. military European Command, the statement said.
The March 15 blast at Vora, 15 kilometers west of capital Tirana, has killed more than 20 people so far, and injured nearly another 300.
Albania has some 100,000 tons of old ordnance it inherited from the past, stockpiled across the country, it was reported.
